Experience the magic of Disney’s live action classics with the Disney Fairytale Film Festival in July and August at Capalaba’s Birch Carroll and Coyle from July 30 to August 28.
Movie-goers can revisit their favourite tales and characters. They they will fear the curse of Maleficent, feel pure joy with Enchanted, venture deep Into The Woods and be magically whisked away to the ball with Cinderella.
The festival will also offer an exciting first look at Disney’s latest film, Pete’s Dragon, with exclusive sneak previews on August 27 and 28. This is a re-imagining of the classic tale. Pete’s Dragon is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.
This weekend, August 6 and 7, see Enchanted, rated G, the story of a princess who falls in love with a lawyer after being sent to New York by an evil queen.
Coming up are Into the Woods (rated PG) on August 13 and 14 and Cinderella (rated G) on August 20 and 21. Into the Woods is the story of a baker and his wife seeking magic to stop a family curse.
Tickets to any one session are $10 and can be purchased online at Event Cinema or Village cinemas sites. All films will be screened at 10.30am on weekends only.
