REDLAND Bay teenager Ben Cooper broke his own three minute speed world jump rope record on Thursday.
The 19-year-old from Cleveland Air Magic first broke the record last year.
His latest record was achieved with 1048 jumps in three minutes at the world jump rope championships in Portugal on Thursday.
Mr Cooper was thrilled with his achievement.
“I’m lost on words,” he said.
“I am absolutely over the moon.”
The student at Australian Catholic University said there were over 20 countries competing in the championships.
About 16 skippers from Cleveland Air Magic were competing, together with other local clubs Mount Cotton Hot Shots and Bayside Skippers.
The skippers will compete in another competition, the world rope skipping championships in Sweden this week.
