HAZARD reduction burns are being conducted on North Stradbroke Island until Sunday, August 7.
Queensland Parks and Wildlife, with Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) will conduct the burns around Blue Lake in Naree Budjong Djara National Park and in Myora Conservation Park.
Public access to Blue Lake will be restricted during the fire operations.
The Karboora track and the Neembeeba lookout track will be temporarily closed for short periods.
Nearby residents should close windows and doors and anyone who suffers from a respiratory condition should keep medications close by.
Drivers should drive with caution and to conditions.
