Woman critical after Kallangur stabbing

Her attacker was on the run on Thursday morning as the 32-year-old remained in a critical condition in the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

Neighbours heard screams about 7pm and called police to the Kallangur home.

After hearing shouts for help, one neighbour, David, sat with the woman until emergency services arrived.

"I just heard, 'help, help' and I walked outside," he told Nine News.

"I just heard Timmy next door yelling out to her and, yeah, I went down and, yeah, it was not good."

Neighbours told reporters at the scene the woman was found lying at the front door with multiple stab wounds.

"She just said there was somebody and they had a black hoodie on and that was about it," one man told Nine News.

"She was kind of in and out.

"She wasn't very good, so we were just kind of trying to stop the bleeding and wait for the ambulance."

A crime scene has been established at the Paul Street home as police investigate the incident.
