A MAN who had barricaded himself into a Chandler home has died.
Police revoked an emergency situation declaration at 5.25pm after officers found the man deceased inside a Tyberry Street house.
Police were called to the property at 12.15pm following reports of a 60-year-old man armed with a firearm making threats towards a male relative.
The relative and his teenage son were able to flee the residence and call the police.
An emergency situation was declared just before 2pm with streets being closed while specialist police and negotiators responded to the incident.

AN EMERGENCY situation has been declared at Chandler following reports of an armed man making threats.
Police were called to a Tyberry Street house at 12.15pm and declared the emergency situation just before 2pm.
Police believe the man is alone at the address.
Specialist police have responded to the incident.
The emergency situation declaration covers the area within Tyberry Street, Tollett Street, Old Cleveland Road and Tinchborne Street.
Police have asked members of the public to avoid the area if possible.
