OLD Cleveland Town was the theme of this year’s Crazy Day markets in Cleveland.
Bloomfield Street was closed to traffic for the markets which are held annually on the day of Brisbane’s Royal Queensland Show holiday.
An estimated 4500 people attended the event.
Redland City Council lured extra visitors to Cleveland with a PokeFest linked to the popular Pokemon Go app
The event saw people coming from as far away as Gold Coast, Moorooka and Enoggera.
Over 200 Pokemon trainers turned up in costumes on Wednesday morning after the council placed lures which attract pokemon to a particular location at popular Pokestops in Cleveland.
As part of the Crazy Day festivities there were historical displays and the Redland City town crier helped visitors celebrate Cleveland’s heritage.
A program of music provided entertainment.
The Crazy Day event was organised by the Cleveland Village Traders Association in conjunction with Cleveland Markets.
