Plans to Involve local chaplains more in disaster management preparedness and response was part of the message at the Redland City Mayoral Prayer Breakfast.
A total of 230 community, church, business and school representatives attended the event at the Redlands Sporting Club.
Guest speaker was academic and scientist Dr Ron Neller who spoke about how people can be both a scientist and a Christian.
The breakfast raised funds for and awareness of state school chaplaincy programs.
