A MAN and a woman have been charged with assaulting a police officer who responded to a disturbance at a Victoria Point house.
The incident occurred when police went to the Sycamore Parade house about 1.30am on Sunday, August 21.
Police will allege people became aggressive and one grabbed a police officer from behind.
Struggles allegedly continued police and occupants of the house.
A 35-year-old Victoria Point man has been charged with two counts of assault/obstruct police.
He is due to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on September 22.
A 32-year-old woman was charged with two counts of assault/obstruct police and one count of public nuisance.
She is due to front Cleveland Magistrates Court on September 15.
