ORMISTON College student Vincent D’Amico has brought home five gold and three silver medals from the Australian National Eisteddfod in Canberra.
The year 9 student won the drama solo, improvisation, mime, news reading and religious reading sections in the 13 to 14 year age group at the recent event.
He was runner-up in the poetry recital and reading at sight events and in the 16 years and under mime/improvisation challenge.
Vincent also won several awards at the same event last year.
The member of the Redlands Acting and Drama Studio entered the eisteddfod after winning the Brisbane Eisteddfod’s Overall Open Encouragement Award, Beenleigh Eisteddfod’s Best Intermediate Actor and numerous other awards.
Vincent starts his international baccalaureate at the Queensland Academy for Creative Industry, majoring in theatre and film, next year.
