Swans skipper Jarrad McVeigh has declared he is over a calf injury and will "definitely" line up in Saturday's grand final against the Western Bulldogs.
Defender Callum Mills has also been passed fit, having not played since the qualifying final because of a hamstring strain. McVeigh hurt his calf in the semi-final win over the Adelaide Crows.
The Swans had a light run at the MCG on Friday morning and the pair trained well.
Before joining in the grand final parade, McVeigh said he was ready to lead his team into battle.
"I got through the training session really well and the plan throughout the last two weeks has always stayed the same - to train Wednesday, do a bit of running, and do a lot more with the boys today. I did that, feel great, ready to go tomorrow," he said.
McVeigh said he had not wanted to wait until Saturday for a final call to be made.
"We are not going to wait until the Saturday to make these decisions. It wouldn't be fair on me not knowing what's happening and it wouldn't be fair on someone else. I have ticked all the boxes I needed and can go to sleep tonight, ready to go," he said.
"There is always risk but we have had players play with the same injury before but, in saying that, I have done everything possible that I needed to and I am absolutely fine to go."
McVeigh said the pain of the losing the 2014 grand final to the Hawks lingered but it would not be a factor with this new-look unit.
"I guess when you walk off the field and you haven't put in a great performance, it doesn't sit well with you. You are not sure if you are going to get that chance again to get back out there and, fortunately for us, we do," he said.
"I have been on the end of a winning grand final and a losing grand final. I know the different emotions. In saying that, we have a new group this year. There are so many young kids which we have spoken about.
"That experienced group, we understand what is required - the levels you have to go to win this game of footy. We gave those experiences to our younger players. We are very confident in our ability ... to play the right way."
Lance Franklin has been in superb touch in the past fortnight, and dominated the Cats last week by spending more time further up the field, where his athleticism and creative kicking helped to spark another dominant first term.
Coach John Longmire said Franklin's role regularly changed. The superstar forward has booted a team-high 80 goals this year.
"It changes all the time, as opposition defences change, forward lines change as well. There are a number of players who run through the midfield," Longmire said.
"It just depends on the state of the game and what we think needs to happen at a certain period of time or what Lance thinks where he needs to go. We have a bit of flexibility with that."
The Swans who have been the best starting team in the league. They are +287 points for first terms through the year, including being +161 in their past eight first terms.
They booted seven goals against the Crows in the semi-final and repeated that haul against the Cats but Longmire understands the Dogs are the league's best contested-ball side and the midfield battle could be brutal.
"It's about our last two games - we have tried to execute the way we want to play," he said.
"We have been able to do that (kick goals) early. It doesn't automatically mean it's going to happen ... you would expect it to be pretty much on from the first bounce.
"There is no doubt they (Dogs) are the No.1 contested-ball team in the competition ... they are hard, they play a really strong brand of footy. We are aware of their strengths and we need to be really good to match their strengths."
Longmire has a chance to be deemed the greatest coach in South Melbourne-Sydney history should the Swans prevail.
Since joining the AFL in 1897, the Swans have enjoyed five premierships - each under the guidance of a different coach. Longmire was in charge in 2012 when the Hawks were humbled, and a second flag would elevate his spot in the list of club greats.
