Grand final day weather
Pack the ponchos and umbrellas just in case Melbourne turns into its unpredictable self.
It will be raining as people wake up on Saturday morning but by the bounce at 2.30pm those showers will have cleared, according to Weatherzone and the Bureau of Meteorology.
Melbourne will be partly cloudy, with a top of 17 degrees and rainfall between one and four millimetres in the morning.
"All of the game is looking dry at this stage, if there's any rainfall during the grand final it will be very light and brief, and it won't have any significant impact on play," Weatherzone meteorologist Ben Domensino said.
With wind blowing from the north-west at 25km/h, if there will be any advantage during the game - it will be for the team kicking to the Punt Road end.
By half-time, the showers will have cleared completely and the weather will remain cool but dry throughout Saturday evening.

How to get to the MCG
Melbourne's free tram zone has been extended to the MCG and Yarra Park to help punters get to the MCG hassle-free.
But all other train, tram or bus transport for the game will require a myki.
Public Transport Victoria will add extra services to and from Flinders Street, Richmond and Jolimont stations.
Flinders Street Station is 15 minutes' walk from the ground, Jolimont Station four minutes, and Richmond Station between five and seven minutes.

Where to watch for the Doggies
Whitten Oval
417 Barkly Street, Footscray
Those who couldn't snag a ticket to the MCG can join the extended Western Bulldogs family at their spiritual home, with gates opening at 1pm. There will be two big screens and food trucks serving lunch and snacks. The venue will close at 6.30pm, with no post-game event scheduled at this stage. Parking will be very limited, so public transport is advisable.
The Sun Theatre
8 Ballarat Street, Yarraville
The Sun Theatre, in the heart of Yarraville Village, will screen the match at the Ballarat Street park across from the cinema. The free event is open to anyone, but people are advised to get in early to secure a spot on the grass.
The Plough Hotel
333 Barkly Street, Footscray
The Plough – a stone's throw from the Doggies' home – will screen the game on two TVs. A pie and a pot will set you back $20 before and during the game. If last weekend's turnout is anything to go by, the pub will fill up well before the first bounce, so don't dilly-dally. Doors open at 11.30am.

The pub was so full last weekend that some supporters had to stand outside in the rain, peeking through the windows at the screens. The cheering inside was deafening when the Doggies claimed victory against GSW, and let's hope it's the same on Saturday.

Typically a Kangaroos pub, the Royal Mail in North Melbourne has added a touch of red to its usual blue and white facade in a show of support for their fellow working class club.

The steak-and-ale house will have $12 burgers and jugs of beer for $20. Choose from seven huge screens to watch the big game. There will be live music after the final siren.

The match will be screened live on the big screen in the bistro, where the new summer menu will be available. The RSL boasts an "incredible sound system", so you'll never miss an umpire's call.

Soak up the AFL grand final atmosphere with your family and thousands of your "closest friends". All the action at the MCG will be broadcast on the big screen from 1.30pm. There will be a variety of food trucks on site to fuel your enthusiasm. Alternatively, you can catch the match live and loud at Beer DeLuxe at the square. The game will be shown on its big screens in the beer garden, main bar, grill and burger bar.

The MCG
Two big screens outside the 'G will cater for fans, with gates set to open at 1pm. Food trucks will be on hand. Parking will be limited.
The Foxtel Footy Festival is in Yarra Park outside Gate 3, and is free. There will be a kids' zone, local singer/songwriter Illy will be performing and, most importantly, there will be footy-themed dishes available from Tokyo, Biggie Smalls, Burch & Purchese and more.
Garden State Hotel
101 Flinders Lane, Melbourne
Here's a two-birds-one-stone situation: get around the GF while also checking out one of Melbourne's hottest new venues. Garden State is offering a few packages for the big day: a pre-game breakfast package from 9am-12pm, with a set menu and drinks; Game Time in the Garden for those who want to watch the game in the beer garden (which comes with toasties and other snacks); and Game Time in the Observatory for those serious about getting a good seat and a three-course meal.

On the Mark at Fringe Festival

Get a different perspective on the game with this free live screening accompanied by commentary from Fringe Festival guests Laura Dunemann and Geraldine Hickey, who are sure to serve it up with a side of hilarity. There will be a half-time performance from Thando, as well as tunes from DJ MzRizk, to keep the party going after the final siren.
Grand Final at the Grosvenor
10 Brighton Rd, St Kilda East
Yelling "Down in front!" isn't going to be an issue at the Grosvenor Hotel's big grand final day party, with eight large screens showing the game. There will be $15 burgers to sink your teeth into, as well as various local beers to try, prizes and free pots of Coopers Pale Ale between the first bounce and the first score (let's hope it's a slow first quarter).
