LOCAL winery Sirromet will be part of the Good Food and Wine Show again which kicks off on Friday, October 28.
It will be at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre where people will get the chance to be inspired by top line chefs, including Miguel Maestre, Silvia Colloca, Garry Mehigan, Matt Moran and My Kitchen Rules winners Sammy and Bella Jakubiak.
Foodies will have the opportunity to learn cooking tips and recipes from chefs during live cooking shows and demonstrations.
Event director Claire Back said Brisbane was a hub for all things good in food.
“What better way to celebrate that than with some of our favourite Australian icons in the culinary world,’’ she said.
“We are extremely pleased to have Miguel, Matt and Gary on board for this year’s show and we look forward to seeing what they bring to the table.
“Having culinary talent like this on board gives Brisbanites a chance to reconnect with recognisable faces in the community and supports the local exhibitors and suppliers bringing a whole new level of flavour to this year’s show.”
Ms Back said the show was designed to educate, excite and inspire people to give cooking a go, try new things and not be afraid to create tasty new adventures.
“Imagine a Martini in a jar, your three favourite chocolates combined and a cheesey journey that will leave your mouth watering,” Ms Back said.
“The creativity and imagination of our exhibitors is a science we are very excited to bring to Brisbane.
"The event showcases the diversity of food and wine production in Australia, from family-run businesses to established artisan companies, alongside mouth-watering national and international street food.
“With the best exhibitors appearing and master classes that will have guests fidgeting to try at home, there’s no doubt that anyone coming through the doors will have a great day.
“With local Australian exhibitors such as Sirromet Wines, Mr Fairy Floss, Newstead Brewery Co, Kokopod Chocolate and Melbourne Martini, we look forward to the tantalising tastes and products to come.”
The show is Australia’s largest consumer food and beverage show. Each year more than 100,000 visitors head to the events in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane.
They are a forum for exhibitors to join local producers and showcase their wares to industry leaders and audiences.
