Police have described fan behaviour at this year's Gold Coast 600 as "fantastic".
Inspector Bruce Kuhn, from the Major Events Group on the Gold Coast, said in previous years, the Supercars event was seen as a "big party on the Gold Coast".
"I'm not sure if that's the case now," Inspector Kuhn said on Sunday.
"I think people are just getting used to, it's a car race, people want to come and see the car race.
"But on the back of Bathurst, it was only a couple of weeks ago, now we have the Gold Coast 600 and people have come to the Gold Coast to see a car race."
Inspector Kuhn said most people behaved themselves on the typically busier Saturday night, with people leaving the race track in an orderly manner and few incidents at Surfers Paradise.
He said police would also be out on the Gold Coast on Sunday night for anyone who wanted to continue the party.
While he did not provide the number of arrests, Inspector Kuhn said officers had "half the enforcement action" of last year.
"Last year was good, but this year has been better," he said.
The arrests were mostly around public order issues and also some people who "should have gone home a little earlier than what they did", Inspector Kuhn said.
He said there were only a couple of minor drug matters, but nothing significant.
There were some traffic snarls, due to the location of the track, but traffic issues were also limited, Inspector Kuhn said.
"Tomorrow (Monday) there will be a little bit of a traffic snarl until they clear the track but of course we'll be working with the Gold Coast 600 to make that happen as seamlessly as possible," he said.
"Schoolies is a couple of weeks off, that's the next one, our next challenge."
The top marks for fans from the Gold Coast police echoes similar comments made on Saturday.
