The 82-year-old was at a pedestrian crossing in Middle Street, Cleveland when she was knocked by a ute in May.
Suffering leg and head injuries, she spent two weeks in hospital, before recuperating in a respite unit,
She invited advanced care paramedics Ivan Buldo, from Birkdale ambulance station, and Trevor Byrne, of South Brisbane to visit last week on Wednesday to express her appreciation.
On scene about four minutes after being called, the paramedics said Ms Wells was very brave.
“She eventually agreed to a bit of pain relief,” said Mr Byrne.
“Yes, she’s pretty tough,” agreed Ms Wells’ husband Bill.
