Ormiston College students will explore their connections to culture, the environment and the local and global community at the school’s biennial art show.
Over 1000 art works, created by students in the early learning centre, junior school and secondary school will be on display.
The exhibition centrepiece will be a walk-through installation created by secondary school art club students.
It explores the theme of connection using geometric forms.
The gala opening of the art show will be held on Friday, November 4 at 6.30pm in the Hall of Fame at the Somerset Sports Centre at Ormiston College.
The night will raise money for ACT for Kids which helps give abused children the skills, care and confidence they need to turn their lives around.
A highlight of the evening will be the parading and judging of the wearable art competition.
Students from years 7 to 12 have been invited to design and construct a wearable art work that addresses an aspect of the connection theme.
Admission to the exhibition is free, but guests are encouraged to make a gold coin donation to support ACT for Kids.
Members of the public are invited to attend.
The exhibition will be open for viewing on Saturday, November 5 from 1pm to 3pm and during school hours until Wednesday, November 9.
