SIX Wellington Point State High School students completed a university subject this year and 14 students have been guaranteed acceptance to Griffith University prior to their final OP scores being available.

David McLean achieved the highest result possible – a high distinction – for calculus and linear algebra with the University of Queensland Enhanced Studies Program.
Kate Fraser and Chloe Jones completed a university chemistry subject with Griffith University Guests program, while Jenae Ferguson and Lucy Laurie completed a foundation psychology subject with the Start QUT program.
Morgan Devey completed justice and society, and understanding the criminal justice system with the Start QUT program.
Chloe Jones and Kate Fraser gained guaranteed entry into university as a result of completing their university subject alongside their high school studies.
Tamzin Edwards, Annalise Kempthorne and Caitlin Toovey were guaranteed entry due to their results in grades 11 and 12, while Matt Faulkner and Rebecca Lee were accepted for a Bachelor of Commerce course after completing the Griffith Business program alongside their high school studies.
Hayden Charlesworth, Callum Jackson and Tamieka Whitefield completed the Griffith exercise science course to gain entry into a Bachelor of Exercise Science, and Caitlin Thompson gained entry into the Bachelor of Psychological Science/Bachelor of Criminology degree by completing the Griffith health course.
