Sometimes when you're having a bad day, it helps to see that there are others struggling, too.
But one keeper in a local Greek competition would never have expected that his blunder would be put into such immediate perspective by the opposition team's striker.
Cue Benny Hill music.
The comedy begins with the keeper on the edge of his own area, receiving a pretty standard through ball in plenty of space, looking to tap the ball back in so he can pick it up. He fumbles, allowing the opposition striker to come in and steal the ball.
The striker then gets dangerously close to the goal line, but manages to keep the ball in, moving to the goalmouth to tap it in.
Enter the desperate defender, coming in with what can only be described as a miraculous tackle. He somehow manages to send the ball away from the goal, despite sliding over the line himself.
But the striker has not given up yet. He takes a second crack at goal, and given that he's only a centimetre or so out, how can he miss?
Turn the Benny Hill music up a bit louder, and enjoy.
