YARRUM Downs, a prime 21 hectare (51 acre) property with coastal views at Redland Bay, has sold at a Ray White Rural auction for $2.5 million.
The buyer was Warren Pryde who owns Pryde Fabrication in Cleveland.
About 80 per cent of the property is mostly cleared and there are five dams. The good pasture is described as being ideal for horses and cattle, or just as a large parkland for children to play.
Marketing agent Barry Quinn, Ray White Rural, said Lai and Debbie Ho bought the property in 2008 and had planned to build a large family home.
“Sitting about 90m above sea level the very private, cleared and level house pad is perfectly protected by the favourable western tree line boundary and offers stunning 270 degree views of the bay and islands and the buildings at Surfers Paradise,” Mr Quinn said.
“In addition, this site has fully approved plans for a stunning large two level family home, which are included in the sale.”
The marketing on Yarrum Downs was handled by Barry Quinn and Peter Douglas from Ray White Rural.
