REGISTRATIONS are open for the 15th Redland City Relay for Life.
The event will see teams keep a baton moving in relay style for 18 hours in support of Cancer Council Queensland.
The 2017 Relay for Life will be held on April 29 and 30 at Redlands Showgrounds in Cleveland.
Cancer Council Queensland spokeswoman Katie Clift encouraged Redlanders to make a difference by getting involved.
“Relay is the only community event of its kind in Queensland, uniting friends and family in the fight against cancer,” Ms Clift said.
“We encourage locals of all ages to support the cause, register a team and start fundraising to give hope to Queenslanders affected by cancer.”
Teams consisting of up to 15 people also take part in inspirational ceremonies, fundraising activities and team challenges during the event.
Ms Clift said Relay for Life helped raise $3.35 million for Cancer Council’s research, prevention and education programs, and support services in 2016.
Early bird registrations are $20 per person and end 12 weeks before the event.
Registration is via the Relay for Life website relayforlife.org.au or by calling 1300 65 65 85.
