The Redland Bay Tennis Club is holding its annual open day this Saturday from 1pm to 5pm, Boundary Street, Redland Bay.
This is a free event for all age groups who are interested in playing tennis. It is a great way for those wanting to try tennis or get back into tennis, to meet the coaching staff and to familiarise yourself with the club.
This is fun day with free tennis for all, lots of activities including, hit the target game, prizes to win and a free barbecue. There will be grading for anyone looking to join any of our fixtures and information on all coaching and cardio tennis programs.
The Redland Bay Tennis Club together with Bayside Tennis Coaching offer a wide range of programs for all ages and abilities starting from as young as four in the Tiny Tennis program. From there they move to the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots group coaching, then into the Junior Development Squads and finally the Performance Squad for those tournament level players.
For children looking at fixtures, we offer a Friday night competition and a Saturday Junior Super League competition. The club has a program for all juniors and all levels of ability.
For adults looking at either getting back into tennis or starting tennis there is a program and/or fixtures to suit you. Weekly fixtures resume the week of January 30 and it's not too late to sign up.
Fixtures run for a season (two terms) and there is a Tuesday night adult doubles competition (7pm start), a Wednesday ladies’ comp (9am to 1pm) and a Thursday night singles and doubles competition (7pm start). We also offer adult group coaching and adult cardio tennis. Cardio tennis is a lot of fun and an excellent cardio workout.
For private lessons, come and have a chat to the coaching staff and see what times are available.
The Pro Shop at the Redland Bay Tennis club is fully equipped and can advise the correct racket for you or your child and offers competitive prices. A re-stringing service is also available.
