The Bayside Bombers AFL Masters Club has started its pre-season campaign with training already under way for the 2017 season.
“Training has started and the boys are keen, but we can always fit more old boys in, be it ex rugby or any other sportsmen,” president Mike Rander said.
Bayside will field two teams again this year – over 35s and over 45s teams playing in the SEQ AFLM competition, with games from Coolangatta to Hervey Bay played fortnightly between Saturday afternoons to Sunday mornings. The season runs from early April to September.
Bayside will host a charity pre-season carnival in mid-March to raise funds for Choices Centre for Cancer.
Training has started at Ern Dowling Oval, Victoria Point, bottom oval Victoria Point Sharks Sports Club on Tuesdays from 6.30pm. Contact Mike Rander on 0403 936 925 or visit http://baysidebombers@foxsports.com or email baysidebombersmasters@hotmail.com.
