Kim Kardashian films cameo in Ocean's Eight all-female heist movie after robbery

Kardashian and her younger sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner were spotted on the set of Ocean's Eight in New York on Tuesday where they filmed a scene on what is believed to be a fictional Met Gala red carpet.

Dressed in floor-length gowns and velour tracksuits, it's understood the trio will play themselves in the all-female sequel to George Clooney's 2001 crime romp, Ocean's Eleven.

The film is one of the first projects 36-year-old Kardashian has undertaken since being robbed at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in October.

The cameo is an interesting move from Kardashian considering Ocean's Eight centres on an elaborate height such as the one Kardashian was implicated in.

Kardashian spent three months out of the spotlight and remained completely silent on social media until earlier this month. Filming on Keeping Up With the Kardashians was also put on hold.

But it appears the mother-of-two is back with a vengeance. The reality TV star shared behind the scenes video from the Ocean's Eight film set on Snapchat along with her younger sisters.

The reality TV star was also seen delving into her traumatic robbery in a trailer for the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, premiering in March.

The extended Kardashian family aren't the only stars making a cameo in the 2018 film. It's understood Carpool Karaoke host James Corden, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and actress Katie Holmes have also been spotted on set.

Ocean's Eight is a spin-off of the Ocean's trilogy of films and features an all-female cast of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson and Mindy Kaling.

According to her police testimony leaked this week, Kardashian was restrained with plastic cables and put in a bathtub by masked robbers who stole more than $US10 million worth of jewellery, including her engagement ring.

Her first public engagement was earlier this week in Dubai where the celebrity doyen hosted a class with her makeup artist.
