Redland Art Gallery (RAG) will have over 110 shows, workshops and events on offer throughout 2017, we can’t wait to have you visit our Cleveland and Capalaba galleries. There’s an exciting line-up of artists and artisans, sharing their stories and traditions, many taking inspiration from the Redlands.
Featuring a mix of solo, group and national touring exhibitions visitors can view some of Australia’s best painting, drawing, photography, film, sculpture, fibre art, print making and installation at various times during the year.
To kick off the year we open 14 x 14: Volunteer selected works from the RAG Collection at RAG, Capalaba on Saturday February 4. 14 x 14 celebrates the 14th birthday of RAG which falls on Valentine’s Day 2017. In 14 x 14, fourteen of our longest serving gallery volunteers select their most loved artwork from the RAG Collection.
Opening on Sunday February 5 at RAG, Cleveland Take a Seat is an exhibition that presents paintings and chair constructions by Corinne Colombo – a Swiss/Australian artist who lives between Switzerland and the Redlands. Also opening is Lamentation, an exhibition by Brisbane-based, multi-disciplinary artist Karike Ashworth.
