A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing attack on the Sunshine Coast overnight.
Police said preliminary investigations suggested a man, 48, had walked outside a shop on Pittards Road at Buderim when a woman he knew got out of a vehicle and approached him about 9.40pm.
The two began to arguing with each other when the woman pulled a knife and stabbed the man, police will allege.
The man was found about midnight on an adjoining road with injuries to his arm and neck and was rushed to Nambour Hospital with serious injuries.
A Mountain Creek woman, 45, handed herself into Maroochydore Police Station at 9am on Tuesday morning.
Police charged the woman with one count of attempted murder.
She is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
