STEVE Baker and Wayne Graham are two men from the Redlands living a rock’n’roll lifestyle.
Battles with cancer have not yet been enough to stop them from enjoying life’s song.
The pair hopped on the stage to sing and play guitar as part of a seven-hour line-up of live entertainment on Saturday night at the Redlands Junior Rugby League Club.
It was all part of the Summer Rocks Redlands charity concert, held to raise money for the pair’s ongoing cancer care costs.
Bands which dazzled the stage included The Beatlegs, the UK Bee Geez, the Blues Boys, The Stats, The Tidy Vikings, Ross River Fever and singer Ellie Jane.
Dollars were raised through the sale of entry passes and raffle tickets, with more needed.
While Mr Graham is terminally ill with esophageal cancer, Mr Baker fights Thymona, a cancer of the thymus gland.
Mr Baker said he was making the best of every moment despite the prognosis.
He said he had opted to extend his life naturally rather than undergo painful chemotherapy treatment.
