LAW student Madina Mohmood will be guest speaker at an International Women’s Day breakfast hosted by Soroptimist International Bayside on March 8.
Ms Mohmood was an ambassador for World Vision in 2014 and attended a United Nations Youth Forum in New York in 2015.
She will provide a young woman’s perspective on the United Nations theme of Be Bold for Change theme for the 2017 International Women’s Day.
The theme encourages people to take ground-breaking action to drive the greatest change for women.
The breakfast is from 6.30am until about 8.30am to 9am at Redlands Sporting Club, in Anson Road, Wellington Point.
The event is open to the public and senior students from local schools have been invited.
The cost is $40 ($35 for students and concession).
