INVESTIGATIONS by the Redland City Council have so far not been able to find possible sources of contamination at the Holland Crescent Reserve near a commercial area at Capalaba.
A council spokesman said the probe took place after the reserve’s creek was polluted with a white substance on Wednesday, January 8.
While council officers inspected the site after being notified the following day about the contamination, no water quality checks were done. The white substance had been flushed away by rain overnight on Wednesday.
A council spokesman said subsequent investigations were not able to identify sources for the contamination.
