A GROUP of 20 Capalaba locals has won more than $1.3 million in Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw.
The 20 residents were part of a store syndicate from Nextra Capalaba Park.
It’s the second time in 14 months the outlet has sold a division one prize.
The syndicate was one of six Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw division one winning entries from Queensland and one of 15 winners nationally.
The winning syndicate features 20 locals of all ages, with each to receive $69,225.33.
Nextra Capalaba Park manager Leigh Harrison said the store was buzzing as syndicate members heard about their win.
“We haven’t heard from all the syndicate winners yet,’’ she said. “(One) winner didn’t realise they’d won until they came in,’’ she said.
In January last year, a 10-member store syndicate from Nextra won just over $2 million. The store also sold division one winning lotto entries to local customers in 2011 and 2013.
“We do a store syndicate for each Superdraw and our customers seem really keen to be a part of it,” Ms Harrison said. “Hopefully with these wins under our belt our fame for selling division one winning entries is spreading.”
