BIRKDALE State School student Steven Glass has had his locks chopped after growing them out for a year.
While his close shave captured the attention of peers and teachers at an assembly earlier this week, it was all for a good cause.
The Year Four boy raised more than $1200 for the Leukaemia Foundation through his World’s Greatest Shave efforts.

A school spokesperson said Steven was inspired to raise dollars and have his hair chopped after his watching his mother do the same last year.
A “Crazy Hair Day” held at Birkdale State School also raised $500 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
