VICTORIA Point gymnast Jayde Beutel won first all round at the South East Queensland Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Senior Regional Championships on the weekend.
Competing in the level eight open competition, Jayde also came first on the beam, second in vault and floor and third on bars.
Marsali Andrews, also from the Victoria Point YMCA Gymnastics Club, came sixth overall in the same category. She won fifth place on bars and sixth in floor.
Gymnastics Queensland chief executive officer Kym Dowdell said athletes from 26 clubs took part in the event.
She said gymnasts were vying for a place at the state championships to be held in Brisbane in April.
The competition was held at the Murray Evans Sport and Aquatic Centre at Somerville House at South Brisbane.
