POINT Lookout Surf Life Saving Club member Tara Heisig has won a bronze medal at the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships.
Tara, who is with the under 14 nippers, won the medal in the board riding event.
Other under 14 competitors who took part in the event were Riley Shilling, who reached the semi finals, and Joel Pryor, who made it to the quarter final round.
Riley also competed in the two kilometre run finishing fifth in the Australian Youth Championships
Fraser Toon competed in the under 14 sprints, making it to the semi finals, and flags.
Known as The Aussies, the championships is the biggest event on national surf life saving calendar.
Held over nine days, the event attracts more than 7000 competitors from more than 300 surf clubs.
