IT TOOK ten months of research for Graham Hinson to identify the 35 fallen soldiers listed at Cleveland’s war memorial.
While initials and last names etched in stone were once all that remained, the men were brought to light thanks to Mr Hinson’s work.
For the past two years, the fallen men’s spirits have been rekindled by children at school Anzac ceremonies across the Redlands.
This year the tradition continues.
Its all part of the Redlands RSL’s Community Link program, which is overseen by Mr Hinson.
He said badges representing the 35 fallen men were worn by students at their school’s Anzac service.

Mr Hinson visited schools early last week to drop off RSL Community Link kits – these included to Alexandra Hills, Cleveland District and Wellington Point high schools.
He said the program allowed students to research Anzac history to find more about those who served.
About ten schools are now involved with the program, which also includes Dunwich State School.
Mr Hinson said Dunwich students were able to learn more from the program about Queensland’s Indigenous men who served.
