James Troisi has been a standout for Melbourne Victory this season - but he still has to confirm whether he will be at the championship-chasing club next year.
Troisi has, not for the first time, rebooted his career thanks to a spell at AAMI Park. So impressive has he been that he even fought his way back into the Socceroos reckoning after a post-Asian Cup period in the wilderness.
But he has not committed to another season in navy blue and is consistently being linked with potential moves to other clubs, both here and abroad.
Still, the attacking midfielder is adamant that speculation over his future does not weigh heavily on him as he prepares to try and help Victory win another title.
"We will discuss contractual agreements at the end of the season. There's interest in the A-League and interest overseas as well," he said on Monday ahead of the upcoming semi-final against Brisbane Roar.
"If you let it affect your performance, it's going to affect your future. If you are not playing well it's going to be hard for you to stay or find a future club.
"I knew from when I signed I only had a one-year contract and the most important thing was to knuckle down and play some good football, which I have done. I am happy here, I am playing some good football, but at the end of the day you have to wait and see what's available for me.
"A lot of players from a lot of clubs are in the same boat this season. It definitely hasn't affected my performances."
