SWIMMER extraordinaire Rylee Grier-Stralow went to the top of the podium in every race in which she competed at the Special Olympics State Games.
The Wellington Point teenager won gold medals in four races at the Caloundra Aquatic Centre on the weekend.
Rylee competed in the 200 metre freestyle, 200 metre individual medley, 100 metre backstroke and 100 metre breaststroke.
The 14-year-old Seton College student was also chosen for the Queensland team to compete at the Special Olympics Australia Junior National Games on the Gold Coast in July.
Anyone who is able to assist Rylee with her fundraising to attend the national event, can visit her page through the Special Olympics website or by clicking Rylee’s name in the Queensland team at specialolympics.com.au/juniorgames2017/team.
The weekend before the Queensland Special Olympics, Rylee won a bronze medal in the 11 to 14 years 100 metre butterfly multiclass event at the Georgina Hope Foundation Australian Age Championships held at Chandler.
The latest wins come in the same month that Rylee was named female multi-class swimmer of the meet at the Queensland School Sport Swimming Championships and was selected for the Queensland team to compete at the Pacific School Games in Adelaide in December.
