REDLAND Community Centre has paid tribute to 73 volunteers at a National Volunteers Week luncheon.
A spokesperson for the centre said the volunteers were their most valuable resource.
“Volunteers at the centre will contribute more than 8000 hours this year, which goes to show that the Redland community is one where community helps community,” she said.
Based in Capalaba and with outreach service centres in Wynnum and on Macleay Island, Redland Community Centre provides emergency relief and counselling and runs parenting and self-help programs.
Volunteers at the centre assist with special projects, support administration staff, raise money for the centre and help at events.
