DOG lovers can enjoy a stroll for a good cause when one of Queensland’s largest Million Paws Walks sets off from Cleveland’s Henry Ziegenfusz Park on Sunday, May 21.
About 1000 entries are expected at Cleveland for the walk, which is the RSPCA’s main fundraiser.
Among them is Amanda Simpson, of Chandler, who is walking, for the third time, with her dogs Miley, Ella and Levi.
Ms Simpson was on track to be one of the state’s highest fundraisers with $1395 raised to date.
Motivated by wanting to help animals in need, Ms Simpson said she lived on an acreage and wanted all dogs to have a good life.
“They all deserve a good home,” she said.
Dog owners (or anyone who wants to walk) stand in line to win a Mooloolaba getaway by registering for the event.
Registration on the day is available from 8am, with 1.5 kilometre and 3.5 kilometre walks to start at 10am.
About 1000 people are expected to take part.
