A MOVIE about sexual abuse will be shown at Capalaba on Wednesday, May 24 as a fundraiser for the Centre Against Sexual Violence.
The movie, Don’t Tell is an Australian film about a young woman who fought back after being sexually abused at a private school.
Starring Sara West, Rachel Griffiths, Jack Thompson and Aden Young, it is based on true events that changed Australian child protection laws.
The girl, Lyndall, took on the church, with a determined lawyer by her side.
The Centre Against Sexual Violence offers free counselling, funded by the Communities Department, to survivors of sexual assault.
They operate from the Redlands.
The movie is rated (M) and will be shown at Event Cinemas Capalaba on Wednesday, May 24 from 6.30pm.
