Redland Hospital’s tiniest patients will benefit from the generosity of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and its donors after the recent delivery of essential equipment to the Special Care Nursery and Children’s Ward.
The foundation has donated two RAD-5 Pulse Oxymeters that help diagnose cardiac conditions in babies.
“This equipment will make a huge difference. In simple terms, these devices help measure how pink babies are,” Redland SCN Midwife Ray Doro said.
A newborn training manikin and an Ez-IO Drill and Educator Kit has also been donated.
The Humpty Dumpty Foundation has purchased essential and often life-saving medical equipment for sick and injured children in paediatric, neonatal, maternity and emergency departments in hospitals across Australia for more than 27 years.
