The Bench at Middle Street, Cleveland reached a new bench mark when it celebrated its second birthday recently.
About 200 people attended, including Arlett and Franz Sewina who used the occasion for a celebration of their own, their 50th wedding anniversary.
Entertainment on the day was provided by Felix and a magician.
Created by friends and craft beer enthusiasts Nathan Devlin, Nathan Lyson, Daniel Field and Matt Matthias, The Bench was created as a unique and trendy spot to get together at Cleveland and a gathering place to liven up the area.
Craft beers include the popular Stone and Wood Pacific Ale from Byron Bay and Farmhouse Cider from Young Henrys in New South Wales. Patrons are welcomed to sample before purchase and to seek the knowledge of a team of beer connoisseurs.
