The Lodge has become Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's go-to venue for receptions welcoming visiting dignitaries, heads of state and other guests of honour.
Two dinners with foreign leaders were also held at Mr Turnbull's private residence in Point Piper, answers to Senate estimates questions on notice showed.
Nine of the 15 ceremonial and state occasions held between September 2015 and February this year at residences were conducted at The Lodge, compared to six at Kirribilli House in Sydney.
The first ceremony at The Lodge, a morning tea honouring the Australian of the Year finalists for 2016, was held four days after Mr Turnbull and his wife Lucy moved into the property following an $11 million renovation.
Two dinners in honour of visiting foreign leaders were also held at Mr Turnbull's family residence at Point Piper.
The combined cost of the dinners, for Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in January and Indonesian President Joko Widodo in February, was $2733.49.
The individual figures were comparable to the last time a prime minister hosted an official function for a world leader at their private residence in 2007, when Kevin Rudd held a working lunch with then New Zealand prime minister Helen Clark at his family's Brisbane home.
The Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet's Ceremonial and Hospitality Division organises the functions, often without political input, for a range of high level government visits, state memorial services and events such as the Prime Minister's XI cricket match.
The division told a Senate Estimates committee $124,778.20 was spent on functions at The Lodge between the beginning of Mr Turnbull's prime ministership and February this year.
Another $75,501.66 was spent on Kirribilli House functions.
That figure did not include United States Vice-President Mike Pence's visit to Sydney last month.
The single most expensive function at an official residence was an Australia Day celebration at The Lodge this year, costing $27,332.43, for 261 attendees.
Guests enjoyed coconut-crumbed prawns with lychee lime salsa, lamb kofte with pomegranate, yoghurt and molasses, while drinking wine from Tasmania, South Australia and Murrumbateman.
The least expensive was an $865.05, four-person dinner for Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong last October, also held at The Lodge.
The two leaders and their wives ate Hiramasa kingfish carpaccio, cucumber noodles and lemon oil and Darling Downs wagyu tenderloin, smoked eggplant puree, artichoke chips and mushroom salad, complete with Murrumbateman and Margaret River wines.
Six ceremonies held at other venues between October and February, such as Parliament House, Manuka Oval and the Sydney Opera House, totalled $202,032.27.
Of that, $76,895.52 was spent on a 282-person lunch for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Sydney's International Convention Centre.
