BRIDES have just voted The Courthouse Restaurant Best Restaurant Reception Venue 2017.
The award caps a swag of accolades this venue has won since opening its doors nearly 20 years ago.
“Most of our awards have been voted on by our guests and this gives me the most joy, after all, that is who we serve,” Proprietor Mary Gibb said.

Many locals will remember Beaches Restaurant above the shopping centre in Cleveland, where Ms Gibb started her lifelong career in hospitality.
“We bought The Courthouse Restaurant in 1998 and have been privileged to host so many special occasions, from romantic proposals, to political events, to fundraisers, functions and lavish weddings,” she said.
“My mission statement and my passion for the industry is as strong today as it was almost 30 years ago.
“I have been actively involved with training more than 120 local, school-based trainees and have seen so many of our casual workforce go on to successful careers across so many fields.
“The training program was initially created during a critical skills shortage in our industry, but gave me the opportunity to teach young enthusiastic people the importance of giving an exceptional level of service and to this day I am so proud of the work we do together.”
The Courthouse is known for its white cloth elegance and respects time honoured dining traditions with both the menu and the service, Ms Gibb said.
“We are also using every available technology to make our operation and the customer experience as efficient and seamless as possible.”
