FIREFIGHTERS have extinguished a blaze that broke out in vegetation along Shore Street North, Cleveland.
Resident Narelle Hannay alerted Queensland Fire and Emergency Services when she noticed the flames at 9.36am on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for QFES said the small grass fire was extinguished by 10.15am.
A planned burn was also underway on Wednesday at Swamp Box Conservation Area in Lyndon Road, Capalaba.
A spokesperson for Redland City Council said smoke could affect residents at Alexandra Hills, Capalaba, Thornlands and Mount Cotton.
