Schapelle Corby has labelled media reports on Sunday morning claiming she has struck a deal with Britain's Celebrity Big Brother as "false news".
Corby told her 190,000 followers on Instagram: "Not true. First I've heard of it" inserting a quizzical/disbelieving emoji symbol and labelling the News Corp story "False News".
The News Corp "exclusive" quoted unnamed sources which claimed the production company Endemol Shine International had inked a deal with the convicted drug smuggler.
According to the reports, Corby had already applied for a network-sponsored working visa.
It was also claimed that Endemol had paid for Corby's security guard, and orchestrated her return to Australia in which she has successfully evaded local media while launching a major social media presence on Instagram.
However PS debunked similar rumours on Saturday claiming that Corby was about to appear on the UK version of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
A friend of the Corbys told PS: "No one knows her in England so I don't see how that could be the case."
Meanwhile, Australian Federal Police are expected to closely monitor any financial deals Corby may make which could come under Proceeds From Crime legislation.
The Law Society of NSW President Pauline Wright said Commonwealth Government may seize any proceeds an individual has derived from a crime under a literary proceeds order.
"This includes any benefit a person derives from the commercial exploitation of their notoriety resulting from the commission of an indictable offence. The offence may have been committed in Australia or outside. It also does not matter where the commercial exploitation took place or where the benefit was derived."
It is the responsibility of the Australian Federal Police to investigate whether an individual has obtained a literary benefit.
"The matter may be referred to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions where there is sufficient evidence that a breach of literary proceeds provisions has occurred. The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions may then apply for a restraining order over the profits and then a literary proceeds order. "
If a court finds the provisions have been breached, then the proceeds will be made out to the Commonwealth.
