Redland Sinfonia’s Harmony of the Spheres also provided harmony between two choirs with Musica and the Redland City Choir sharing the RPAC stage on June 17.
The groups performed works which explore man’s relationship with the universe, through mythology, philosophy and religion.
Included in the program were Mars from the Planets, Debussy’s Clair de Lune, Sanctus from Bach’s B Minor Mass and the Hallelujah Chorus from the Messiah.
The three conductors Dr Graeme Denniss, Anita Taylor and Melissa Gill said they were thrilled to combine their forces in a program of such beautiful and inspirational music.
The next Sinfonia concert will be Maiden Voyage, featuring dramatic soprano and Sinfonia prize winner Jacqueline Duckworth at 2pm on Saturday, August 26.
Tickets are $30, $24, $15 and can be booked on 3829 8131, or at 2-16 Middle Street, Cleveland.
