The life of Ormiston woman Sara Zelenak will be celebrated on Friday as friends gather to show support for her family.
The 21-year-old Moreton Bay College graduate was murdered in a terrorist attack in London on June 3.
The owners of Healthworks Cleveland, where Ms Zelenak’s mother Julie Wallace has worked for 10 years, have been overwhelmed by support.
Kacie Newlands said the celebration on Friday would be held at Cleveland Showgrounds after more than 700 people indicated on social media they would attend.
Ms Newlands said there had been many offers to help.
“Everyone has been so supportive in every way imaginable,” she said.
The band Incognito will kick off the event at 5pm and a 1.5 hour fitness class (Sweat for Sara) will be held at 6pm, with more live music to follow.
Attendees are asked to give a donation on entry, raffle tickets will be on sale and food vendors will donate to the Wallace family.
“We want to give Sara’s family the time to be able to grieve in their own way,” Ms Newslands said.
Anyone attending can take along a picnic blanket to sit on while listening to music and organisers ask anyone with a yoga mat to take it to the event for the fitness class.
