GRADUATES of a Redlands Centre for Women job readiness program say they are more equipped for the workplace.
The first In2Work program was funded by the state government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work Initiative.
Project co-ordinator Kerri Long said the program was for women aged between 15 and 24.
“We want to help young women who, for a variety of personal reasons, may need support to gain confidence and skills to help them on their journey into work or further study,” she said.
Ms Long said graduates said the program had helped them write resumes, answer questions in a job interview and learn about themselves.
Bookings for the second intake to start on July 20 can be made by July 6.
The program runs on Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm for eight weeks at Redlands Centre for Women in Waterloo Street, Cleveland.
