CLEVELAND trainee teacher Benjamin Jackson has won the national Australian Family Early Education and Care award in the educational experience rising star category.
Benjamin Jackson, who works at Victoria Point’s Day One Early Learning Centre, was earlier named as a state finalist.
Winners were nominated by parents with children in their care, family, friends and colleagues and then required to enter a written submission about their achievements in practice and commitment to five key areas aligned with the National Quality Standards.
Submissions were judged by a panel of professionals from the early learning sector.
Judging chairman and Australian Family managing director Paul Clancy said the winners should be incredibly proud of their win and their dedication to the early years’ education and care sector.
“As it is each year, it has been an incredibly tough judging process with a very high calibre of professionals in the sector committed, above and beyond, to the National Quality Standards,” he said.
Other state finalists were Capalaba’s Eskay kids and The Hills Montessori teacher Jason Alexander.
