Ken and Evelyn Muir of Victoria Point celebrated 65 years of marriage with a lunch with Star Transport at the Capalaba Bowls Club on June 28.
The celebrations continue on July 2 with a family celebration at the Victoria Point tavern involving their two daughters, five grand children and nine great grand children .
The couple were married at the Albert Street Methodist Church, coming out to the peal of bells. Mr Muir worked as a panel beater and Evelyn a milliner. They moved to the Redlands two years ago to live closer to their daughter Diane Young, also of Victoria Point.
“We don’t argue. I can’t remember ever having many squabbles. We just talk to each other and say things that need to be said,” Mrs Muir said.
