A 17-YEAR-OLD man from Alexandra Hills has been charged with assault after a bus driver was punched in the face at Carindale.
Police said they would allege in court four men got onto a bus about 10am on July 14, but three were unable to pay their fare.
They would alleged one man began swearing, resulting in the bus driver asking all four to leave.
Police said it would be alleged one man punched the driver in the face causing a cut to his lip.
The teenager has been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.
He is due to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on July 18.
