FIVE motorists have been charged with drug-driving on two days this week, including three nabbed by police within five hours.
A 32-year-old woman from Capalaba was charged by police after they pulled over a car at Capalaba about 2.30pm on Monday.
She is to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on August 21.
Police stopped an 18-year-old Wynnum man about 5pm the same day at Capalaba.
He is due to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on a drug-driving charge on September 18.
About 7pm, also on Monday, a 45-year-old Banya man was pulled over by police at Birkdale.
He is to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on a drug-driving charge on August 21 and on another drug charge on August 17.
A Thornlands woman was charged with drug-driving after being stopped by police at Capalaba about 7am on Wednesday.
The 36-year-old is to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on September 19.
About four hours later a 23-year-old Thornlands woman was pulled over by police at Thornlands.
She is due to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on a drug-driving charge on August 28.
Drug possession charge
Police also charged a 21-year-old man from Ormiston with drug possession and obstructing police after he was searched at a Capalaba tavern about 8.30pm on Tuesday.
Police said they will allege the man was aggressive towards officers and tried to run away.
They will also allege they found drugs in a plastic bag in the man’s underpants.
The man is to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on August 22.
